As the Secretary-Treasurer of NYSUT and Chairperson of the NYSUT Member Benefits Trust, I would like to welcome you to the NYSUT Member Benefits website! I am extremely fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to work for the betterment of the hard-working women and men that comprise this labor union.
NYSUT members have access to dozens of endorsed insurance, legal and financial, and shopping, travel, and personal programs through Member Benefits. These offerings include auto, home, renter's, and life insurance; vision and dental plans; legal and financial services; competitive savings rates; hotel and vacation discounts; discounted restaurant dine-in or take-out; discounted sports, concert, and theme park tickets; and more.
Members who participate in our endorsed programs also gain the added protection of having a trusted advocate on their side. Among the many responsibilities of our Member Benefits staff, this is one of their most important roles. Our staff take great pride in stepping in to support members with any questions, concerns, or issues that may arise.
Our goal is to provide the highest-quality programs for NYSUT members, and we carefully review all proposals from reputable vendors before any endorsements are given. After a program receives our endorsement, Member Benefits staff and consultants regularly monitor it for participation, member satisfaction, utilization, financial health, and product competitiveness.
This website contains a wealth of information about our endorsed programs and services along with important information about updates/changes to programs. Through this site, you can sign up for our voluntary MAP Alert (Member Alert Program) email service to learn about new endorsed programs, changes to existing programs, and special offers available.
