CMM open enrollment ends 10/13/23 - Informational webinars still available!

An open enrollment opportunity for the Catastrophe Major Medical Plan is being held from 9/8/23 to 10/13/23.

The Trustees of the NYSUT Member Benefits Catastrophe Major Medical (CMM) Insurance Trust are offering an open enrollment opportunity for the CMM Plan from September 8, 2023 to October 13, 2023 -- with an effective date of January 1, 2024.

NYSUT members can learn more about the CMM Plan and this open enrollment period by registering for one of our informational webinars. These sessions run through October 12, 2023.

The CMM Plan offers supplemental coverage that a NYSUT member and their eligible family members may need by providing benefits for eligible expenses that their basic plan does not fully cover (once the out-of-pocket deductible has been satisfied).

The CMM Plan also offers benefits for home health care and long-term facility care, and includes a Critical Illness benefit (as of January 1, 2023) that pays a one-time $1,000 lump sum in the event that a covered participant is diagnosed with a critical illness.

During this open enrollment period, NYSUT in-service members have the opportunity to enroll themselves (and any eligible dependents); current participants also have the opportunity to enroll any eligible family members that are not already enrolled.
